Your Path in Research 2022 - Add Research to Your Career
Better research leads to better services for the public. That’s why we want to encourage organisations and social care and public health professionals, practitioners and workers to play an active role in research, as a way to deliver even better services.
From 31 October this campaign will highlight how people can make research part of their career, starting with a two-week spotlight on Social Care and Public Health. Building on the momentum of the two-week campaign, we will be continuing to promote Your Path in Research from Monday 14 November until the end of the year with a focus on health research careers. Visit the Your Path In Research campaign page.
Who is it for?
Over those two weeks our campaign will direct public health and social care workers to the NIHR to find out the opportunities available to them. We will be showcasing what we offer for social workers, care home managers and local authority workers delivering public health and social care.
A strand of the campaign will directly target Senior Public Health decision-makers to explain how NIHR is strengthening a research culture within local government, highlighting what we can offer them as a funder and provider of research evidence.
How you can get involved
Show your support on social media
Activity will be taking place across the week on NIHR social media channels - primarily on NIHR Linkedin page. The campaign will also be promoted on Twitter @NIHRResearch, @NIHREvidence and @NIHRCommunity. The official hashtag on Twitter is #YourPathInResearch.
Share and create your own content
Find and promote inspiring stories of researchers, new or more experienced, that show why research matters to them and to the public they work with. Share them on social media using #YourPathInResearch, and tag NIHR.
Share with us your best examples of collaborating with local authorities, social services and care homes in terms of promoting and delivering research. The Campaigns team can help you develop and share them - email giuseppe.rella@nihr.ac.uk to find out more.
View, download, share or order printed versions of the campaign materials
We have posters and leaflets, different designs for different audiences (healthcare, social care and public health). There are already a few designs to choose from, with more to come over the next 2 weeks. See below.
